Description

Scientific Name: Senecio Rowleyanus

  • Trailing succulent plant
  • Needs lots and lots of bright light
  • Very Waterwise
  • Plant Level: Medium

The String of Pearls plant looks just as it sounds, with round, succulent leaves carried down long, slender stems. They look more like peas than pearls, but this succulent is definitely a gem, and adorns Instagram and Pinterest Feeds from around the world.

Despite its delicate appearance, this unusual succulent house plant is a vigorous grower, quickly creeping across the surface of the pot, then cascading down the side. The tendrils can easily reach 80cm in length.

Best placed in a hanging position, the String of Beads will grow trailing strands dotted succulent foliage, which will cascade into a curtain of sheer green beauty.

Another proudly South African plant and a "must-have" for any plant collection!

Please Note: Our Pearls are well rooted and established plants, but on receipt may not have branches as long as those depicted in the picture.
